A consistently good collection of pieces from a variety of Japanese progressive rock bands. Most are new; I know of previous albums from only three of the nine featured here. So in addition to being a nice charitable gesture for a legendary Tokyo live venue, this also serves as a good sampler and exposure for some fine bands from whom I hope to hear more. But I'm mainly posting this to say that I hope ProgTokyo will release other material on Bandcamp in due course...

From the Soft Machine-esque atmosphere, to the crazy Zappa freak outs and the hints of video game soundtrack influence (you can hear musical quotes of Pokemon Blue/Red cave music at 3:16 in Daytona as well as the Tom Nook theme from Animal Crossing at 1:00 in Himalia), this album will take you on a trip. This is by far my favorite Prog release since Koenjihyakkei's Dhorimviska! I'm excited to hear what will come next from this magnificent band.
